So to start it off I had a great week of training, riding, hitting the gym, skating with my brother Vincent then the weekend came. First off was my birthday on Friday. The day started off like any other...school, but after my bike ride I took a shower and went to Vincents practice to get some skating in and he got me my present there! What a great brother. After practice we were headed back home and I was texting my girlfriend Leda who had had dance that night so we were going to go out another time next week for my birthday. So we got home and I just took my time getting downstairs just messing around texting Leda until my mom called for dinner. I knew we were having lobsters that night because my grandfather was in town and thats what he was making that night...we had had some pretty amazing meals the last 3 days as well! Leda texted me that she was having lobsters as well so of course I yell down to my mother in my fake British accent "mommy isn't it peculiar... Leda is having lobsters too". I was so tired I didn't think twice about it! When I got downstairs, my legs were just toast and rightly so but either way I sat down on the couch to take a picture with my younger brother Vincent. My mom was cracking up taking the picture i wasn't sure why but I was just trying to keep smiling so once again I didn't think about it... soon I learned why. Leda was hiding behind the couch and jumped out and covered my eyes after the picture. It was an amazing surprise... I was very happy! I couldn't believe I didn't think about it before though! Next it was time for dinner... Lobsters! It was a wonderful meal! Next was dessert...the best cake ever invented, Carrot cake I loved it! After that we all just chilled out until Leda left...in the end one of the best birthdays I have ever had!! Thank you Mama, Papa, Rem, Vincent, Grandpa (for cooking amazing lobsters) and of course Leda :)
The next day was Saturday Rems Birthday wasn't until Sunday but we were celebrating it today because my grandfather was leaving the next morning. Saturday I went for a long ride and ended the ride by riding to my friend Greg's house for a bit to hang out (I beat him in pool). Later that night was Rems Birthday we opened presents, ate dinner and had ice cream Oreo cake! It was a great night as well.
Sunday...this day was long! I awoke and did my usual core workout before going downstairs to the smell of waffles! The waffles were very yummy! Then it was off to skate with Vincents team again. I feel like I get ganged up on at his practices, its all the smaller kids vs. the bigger kid I wont lie though its pretty fun! After practice we had subs before heading home to go for a ride! My dad, me and Vincent were going on a mountain bike ride! The first dirt road we took was icy to say the least. Covered by trees this road just didn't thaw out at all. We got about half way down the road and the was a car turned on its side completely totaled, both air bags deployed, I was sure someone had died but luckily the young women AND HER BABY survived. We kept riding and eventually got to the trail...it was Vincents first time on the trail so he was feeling the learning curve. He did better then I did my first time though! He had a couple bush whacking expeditions on his bike but he got back on the trail and finished the ride out! On our way back the mixture of the road being icy and everyone being tired payed a toll...Vincent wiped out 3 times on the road while my dad wiped out once as well... You truthfully probably could have skated on this road! After we got back it was time to get ready to go to Leda's house for dinner, our whole family was going over there. Her parents are so nice! We all made pizza's and had a wonderful and very loud time. The mixture of her brothers and my brothers was quite explosive. We played sardines as well as spoons and a lot of shutting the lights off and running around yelling... the weekend turned out to be a success in the end! It was great! One more week of school before Christmas break!
