BMC Training Camp - Day 1

I woke up this morning to sunshine...and Tyler, both good sights.
Around 8 am we went down to a catered breakfast that was perfect. I had some eggs and potatoes along with a nice bowl of oatmeal with fruit on top. Around 9 am we got back to the room to get ready for our ride at 10. After getting dressed we walked down to the truck to get food and bottles before departing on our ride. After every body was set off we went! There are 8 riders at the camp. Tj, Tyler and I from the development team and then Taylor Phinney, Tejay Van Garderen, Darwin Atapuma, Peter Stetina, and Larry Warbasse. We rode out of town for about 1 hour before we got to Figaroa climb where we did climbing efforts for about 2 hours before heading back into town. We did a couple of progression efforts that goes from tempo up to low v02 and some SFR work which is "slow frequency revolutions".
The ride was a nice 4 hours with some hard intervals. Although there is more to come! Here is the ride we did! After the ride we had some lunch before showering and relaxing until yoga. The night ended with a fun team dinner before getting back to the room to do it all over again! Check back tomorrow for another day in the life!
